A native of Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Loeb attended Brooklyn College, obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biology. He received his dental education at New York University College of Dentistry, graduating at the top of his class, and earned several honors and awards, including nomination into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society.
Upon graduation, he was inducted into the U.S. Army with the rank of Captain, to serve for a period of three years, which included a residency in general dentistry and a one year tour of duty in Vietnam. After leaving military service, he attended New York University College of Dentistry for his orthodontic specialty training.
Dr. Loeb opened his office for the practice of orthodontics in Oakland in 1972, and is proud of having provided orthodontic treatment for thousands of patients. He was recently selected by his peers as a Top Orthodontist in a survey for New Jersey Monthly magazine. He is delighted to have his daughter, Dr. Allison Loeb, join with him in the practice.
He is active in the dental community, belonging to many professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, New Jersey Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and New Jersey Dental Association. He is a member and past president of the Tri–State Orthodontic Study Group, and recently served as president of the New Jersey Association of Orthodontists, 2009–2010. He is also on the attending/teaching staff at Hackensack University Medical Center.
Dr. Loeb is a long time resident of Franklin Lakes, where he and his wife, Gail, have raised their three children. Spending time with his family, travel, golf and reading are among his favorite leisure time activities. He also enjoys skiing and bicycle riding, and may be found rooting for the NY Yankees and NY Giants.
